Keren Terret, Freelance IL’s founder, manager and primary translator founded Freelance IL in January 2005 and is a member of the Israel Translators Association.
Keren attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada on partial academic scholarship and received her B.Sc. in Dietetics (Nutritional Sciences), graduating with distinction. Subsequent to immigrating to Israel in 1996, Keren received her Diploma of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and worked as an English teacher in the public and private sector, teaching students of all ages and levels.
In addition to her work as an English teacher, Keren began translating and editing academic material on a part-time basis. After a number of years as a teacher, Keren decided to start her own business. Her love and flair for the English language and her proven experience in translation and editing made Freelance IL a natural choice for establishing a business. Since then, Keren and Freelance IL have translated and edited numerous articles, dissertations, clinical trials, medical documents, web sites, marketing material, CVs, menus, and much more. Some of Keren's work has been published in prestigious academic journals, or appears on various websites on the Internet.
Freelance IL works with a regular group of English language professionals that have proven their expertise and commitment to excellence. Their work undergoes additional meticulous scrutiny by Keren to ensure a superior end product.
